作用和用途:木酚素能通过对3种雌二醇合成酶（3β-羟类固醇脱氢酶、芳香酶和17β-羟类固醇I型氧化还原酶）的综合作用抑制卵巢雌激素的合成，降低乳腺癌的发病危险性。研究发现木酚素的肠内酯可使人体 LNCaP前列腺癌细胞间前列腺特异抗体水平下降。木酚素的肠内酯对5α还原酶同工酶1和2均有抑制作用，这导致睾酮向5α二氢睾酮转化的减少，会降低前列腺癌细胞间雌激素作用，减缓前列腺癌细胞的生长。
